Para Asian Games 2024: Polish Grand Prix: Ashi Chouksey, an Indian shooter, wins silver in Wroclaw

 At the ongoing Grand Prix Wroclawia and Dolnego Slaska international shooting tournament in Wroclaw, Poland, medallist Ashi Chouksey from the Asian Games came in second place in the women's 50m rifle 3 Positions (3P) event.

After shooting 464.7 in the final, Chouksey—who took home three medals at the Asian Games last year—finished behind Julia Piotrowska, the local favorite.
Sift Kaur Samra and Anjum Moudgil, two more Indian competitors, qualified for the final and placed fourth and seventh, respectively.
With a strong 593 in the Kneeling, Prone, and Standing positions, Chouksey won the qualification round earlier in the day.With a final score of 467.3, Julia easily defeated the young Indian, finishing one point behind Ashi in qualifying. Third place went to Czech Aneta Brabcova.

Anish Bhanwala, the holder of the Paris Olympic Quota, and Niraj Kumar had won medals in the men's 25-meter rapid-fire pistol and 3P events, respectively, in previous championships.
