Following a sideline altercation that turned into a skirmish, Memphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green were both given technical fouls in the second quarter of Wednesday night's game.
The Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins had a conversation with the referee on the sidelines after Santi Aldama and Green shoved each other on the court. More pushing ensued as Bane attempted to relocate Green since it appeared that Bane didn't like how near Green was to Jenkins and the referee.
As more players and coaches intervened in an attempt to keep Green and Bane apart, the benches cleared.
Green was shoved against Jenkins during that process, which caused the coach to collapse to the ground. The Grizzlies players became even more agitated as a result of the circumstance, despite the fact that the push appeared unintentional on the video footage as mayhem ensued.
Thankfully, when things had calmed down, the two players seemed to work things out, giving each other a brief fist bump.
Earlier in the season, Green was suspended for 16 games for hitting Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the face. Fans would find out later in the week if Green or Bane were disciplined by the NBA for this altercation.
