The Abu Dhabi T20 Counties Super Cup 2024 will begin on Friday, March 15, at Tolerance Oval in Abu Dhabi, with Somerset taking on Yorkshire. With the win, both sides will hope to get the campaign off to a strong start.
In the T20 Blast final last year, Somerset faced Essex in their last Twenty20 match, where they scored 145 in 20 overs. 53 runs were scored off 35 balls by Sean Dickson. Three wickets were taken by Paul Walter and Shane Snater. Their bowlers won the match by a margin of 14 runs, limiting Essex to 131 in 18.3 overs.
In their prior Twenty20 match, Yorkshire faced Warwickshire, who scored 180/7 on the scoreboard. Top scorer Rob Yates amassed 66 runs off of 51 balls. Yorkshire managed to score 176/8 while chasing 181, however they were defeated by four runs. Four wickets were taken by Dan Mousley.
