French automaker Renault said on Wednesday that its total sales in India over the previous 11 years have surpassed the 9 lakh unit mark.
The company began selling cars built in India in 2012, and as of right now, it offers the entry-level Kwid, compact SUV Kiger, and multipurpose Triber.
"Groupe Renault considers India to be one of its top five strategic markets, and we have a well-defined long-term plan for the nation.
With a focus on localization in our upcoming product line, we have developed a robust product offensive strategy for India, according to a statement from Renault India Operations Country CEO & Managing Director Venkatram Mamillapalle.
He went on, expressing his long-term dedication to the Indian market, saying: "Renault intends to bring several new innovations in products and new services to satisfy
clients' changing demands and preferences."

stated that Renault has built a solid basis in India over the past few years.
"The company's commitment to the Indian government's 'Make in India' vision is
unwavering and Renault aims to attain 90 percent localization for its upcoming
products," he stated.
The Renault-Nissan alliance plant in Chennai, which can produce 4.8 lakh cars
annually, is where Renault makes its automobiles. Throughout the nation,
Renault India has 530 service locations and about 500 sales locations.
